Christy Smith is the mother of 5 children, ages ten to 20. She is raising a child with autism, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, general anxiety/separation, sensory processing disorder, PTSD, and ADHD. She takes care of a physically disabled spouse. In the midst of her most chaotic moments, she discovered resilience.

As a Parent Advocate, she has been working in local communities, hoping to use her personal lived experiences to help others. She promotes self-advocacy, recovery, and resilience. She is a survivor and thriver of domestic violence and trauma. She blogs and shares lived experiences and vulnerability to help isolated caregivers find their voice while supporting children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and intellectual needs.

-Resilient Momma-

She relates to Sara Bareilles' song Brave. "Honestly, I wanna see you be BRAVE".
